Andrea afterPaul Plakas is one of the most recognized personal trainers in Canada. He dispensed no-nonsense advice during four seasons of the Gemini Award-winning TV show, Taking It Off as well as all seasons of X-Weighted. He also makes regular appearances on both CTV’s nationally broadcast Good Morning Canada, and on Noon News at CFRN TV Edmonton.

With 18 years of personal training behind him, he has worked with all levels of fitness, from the totally sedentary to the professional athlete. He participates in charity events such as Dancing for the Kids with Cancer and as a celebrity waiter for the Alzheimer’s Association. He is the creator of the exercise video The i3 Workout System and co-founder of Custom Fit, an Edmonton-based team of fitness professionals offering personal training, nutrition counseling, running clinics and corporate seminars.

Plakas’ fitness programs strive to create healthy lifestyles by balancing and integrating nutrition, resistance training, cardiovascular health, proper movement mechanics and participation in sports.

Andrea afterDr. David A. Macklin is one of Canada's leading physicians in the field of Lifestyle Medicine. He founded the WeightCare clinic in downtown Toronto in May 2005. He is board certified in Family Medicine by the Canadian College of Family Physicians, a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, the college of Family Physicians of Canada and the Ontario Medical Association. Dr. Macklin has committed his career to helping others with behaviour change, healthy lifestyle and weight management.

FRED CONNORS
Self Esteem Expert

 Fred Connors has been in the fashion, beauty and makeover industry for 20 years. After working with designers in Montreal and Vancouver, Connors launched his own clothing line in 1987. Among his international projects were the 1988 Canada Games uniforms, costumes for the Miss Canada Pageant and attire for London’s Miss World Model Search. Connors background in fashion and beauty also included positions with Chanel and Maybelline as both a make-up artist and staff educator.
More recently, Fred has been commissioned for extensive work in hair and makeup styling in New York City for photographer Hannah Thompson.

Connors opened his first salon in Halifax in 1988. In 2004 he launched FRED, a combination hair salon, restaurant, art gallery, and a skin care and massage therapy clinic contained inside a heritage bank building in Halifax’s North End.
